THE CLOUD STONE is the first volume of the oriental fantasy saga, Dragon de Cristal, written by Grégoire F. Praz.

Ming-chong is a fifteen-year-old Taiwanese fighter, the son of a respected doctor in Taitung. Together with his aboriginal ally Liliu, they inherit half of the cloud stone. The fusion of the two forces opens the door to the Longwang dragon, protector of their quest for the Pearl of Light. The shadow of the secret society, the Black Path, hangs over Taiwan and their destiny. Can they face it?

Guided by the old sage You-tao, Ming-chong learns to control his emotions and develop his inner energy through Taoist practices. He discovers that the pendant is linked to Longwang, the dragon protector, and that he must use this power to fight the dark forces of the Heidao.

The narrative explores themes of ancient wisdom, the balance between yin and yang, and internal alchemy. Ming-chong, with the help of her friend Liliu, overcomes many challenges, but must also face loss and separation. The initiation tale ends on a note of resilience and hope, underlining the importance of inner strength and spiritual connection.
